Jamie Newman, QB-Wake Forest

Newman was 22-of-33 for 297 yards and three touchdowns in his first start of the season, a 27-23 come-from-behind win at NC State.

Sophomore running back Greg McCrae has rushed for at least 99 yards and a touchdown in three consecutive games.

Quardraiz Wadley, RB-UTEP

UTEP running back Quardraiz Wadley has rushed for at least 90 yards and two touchdowns in back-to-back games.

Ke’Mon Freeman, RB-SMU

In the past two games, junior running back Ke’Mon Freeman has carried the ball 37 times for 223 yards and five touchdowns.

Chuba Hubbard, RB-Oklahoma State

Chuba Hubbard ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-47 loss at Oklahoma.  Starting running back Justice Hill injured his ribs in the game and his availability for Week 12 may not be determined until later in the week.

Armand Shyne, RB-Utah

Taking over at running back for Zack Moss, who was lost for the season due to injury, Armand Shyne ran for 174 yards in Utah’s 32-25 win over Oregon.

Kerrith Whyte, RB-Florida Atlantic

Playing in an offense with Devin Singletary, Whyte has carried the ball 38 times in the past two games and has rushed for 328 yards and three touchdowns.  

Next two weeks:  at North Texas, vs. Charlotte

 

Kirk Merritt, WR-Arkansas State

Merritt, Arkansas State’s leading receiver, has at least 120 yards receiving in two of the last three games and has scored in two of the last three games.

Next two weeks:  vs. UL Monoe, at Texas State

 

Tre Walker, WR-San Jose State

Sophomore receiver Tre Walker has topped the 100-yard receiving mark in two of the last three games and has scored in three consecutive games.

Next two weeks:  vs. Nevada, at Fresno State

 

Cody White, WR-Michigan State

In Saturday’s 26-6 loss to Ohio State, sophomore receiver Cody White led the team in receiving by catching eight passes for 115 yards.  White lands on the waiver wire because of the favorable matchups ahead.
