The toughest position in which to find consistent fantasy production is receiver, where this week’s waiver wire is heavy on names.  For three weeks you have remained patient with a few players since draft day, but now is the time to hit the waiver wire. We’ve offered a lot of names over the first three weeks, but if history has taught us anything about the waiver wire, it is that fewer names will emerge the deeper we get into the season.  Now is the time to start planning for a mid-season run.

QUARTERBACKS

Anthony Russo, Temple

Russo was 20-of-37 for 277 yards and three touchdowns in the Owls’ 20-17 win over Maryland.  Russo now has seven touchdown passes in two games and Temple has a favorable upcoming schedule.

Next 3 weeks:  at Buffalo, v Georgia Tech, at East Carolina

Kyle Trask, Florida

Trask shouldn’t be of high priority if you play in Full FBS formats, but Power 5 league owners are down a quarterback with Feleipe Franks reportedly done for the year.  Saturday night, Trask completed 9-of-13 passes for 126 yards and added a rushing touchdown in Florida’s comeback win at Kentucky.  The Gators play their next three games in The Swamp.

Next 3 weeks:  Tennessee, Towson, Auburn

Dillon Gabriel, Central Florida

There’s a good chance that Gabriel is already on a roster in your league, but he seems locked into that No.1 spot for the Knights.  Early last week, we received news that Darriel Mack was available to play against Stanford, but that didn’t happen.  After completing 22-of-30 passes for 347 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-27 win over Stanford, it seems Gabriel is here to stay.

Next 3 weeks:  at Pitt, Connecticut, at Cincinnati

RUNNING BACKS

Kadin Remsberg, Air Force

The Falcons are off to a 2-0 start and running back Kadin Remsberg may just be the best fantasy asset on the Falcons’ roster.   Remsberg has scored in back-to-back games and posted an impressive stat line in a 30-23 win over Colorado.  On Saturday, Remsberg carried the ball 29 times for 146 yards and a touchdown.

Next 3 weeks:  at Boise State, Sean Jose State, at Navy

Marvin Kinsey, Colorado State

There has been a lot of attention on the Colorado State passing game, but running back Marvin Kinsey has quietly had a solid start to the 2019 season.  Kinsey has totaled over 100 yards of offense in each of the Rams’ first three games, has scored three touchdowns, and has caught eleven passes.

Next 3 weeks:  Toledo, at Utah State, San Diego State

Tre Siggers, North Texas

We had our doubts about DeAndre Torrey being a workhorse back for North Texas in 2019, but we didn’t see Tre Siggers coming.  Siggers has emerged as the Mean Green’s No. 1 back and has carried the ball 18 times in back-to-back games. His workload this past Saturday at Cal was very telling, so expect more from the redshirt sophomore in the coming weeks.

Next 3 weeks:  UTSA, Houston, OFF

RECEIVERS

Andrew Parchment, Kansas

Parchment caught eight passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in Kansas’ 48-24 win over Boston College.  Twice this season Parchment has caught at least eight passes for 100 yards.

Next 3 weeks:  West Virginia, at TCU, Oklahoma

Sam James, West Virginia

In West Virginia’s 44-27 win over NC State, Sam James caught nine passes for 155 yards and a touchdown.  James seems to be the Mountaineers’ best fantasy asset, catching at least five passes in each of the first three games of the year.

Next 3 weeks:  at Kansas, OFF, Texas

Brandon Arconado, Washington State

We were a little hesitant to jump on Arconado after the Cougars first two games, but his performance Friday night at Houston showed us he has staying power.  Arconado has caught at least eight passes for 100 yards in consecutive weeks.

Next 3 weeks:  UCLA, at Utah, OFF

Jauan Jennings, Tennessee

Jennings may not be available in Power 5-only leagues, but owners in Full FBS formats should be aware that Jennings has caught a touchdown pass in each of the Volunteers first three games of 2019.

Next 3 weeks:  at Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State

Darrell Stewart, Michigan State

Another name likely on a roster in P5-only formats, but after catching at least nine passes for 100 yards in back-to-back games, Stewart should be given serious consideration in Full FBS formats

Next 3 weeks:  UCLA, at Utah, OFF

Jhamon Ausbon, Texas A&M

Ausbon may finally fulfill the fantasy potential we expected when he arrived at Texas A&M.  After three games, he looks like the Aggies best receiver, catching 17 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns.  Ausbon only had 350 receiving yards in eight games last year.

Next 3 weeks:  Auburn, OFF, Alabama

Jadan Blue, Temple

In Saturday’s 20-17 win over Maryland, Blue caught five passes for 132 yards and a touchdown.  In two games, the sophomore receiver has hauled in 15 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

Next 3 weeks:  at Buffalo, Georgia Tech, East Carolina

TIGHT ENDS

Xavier Gaines, Marshall

In Marshall’s 33-31 win over Ohio, Gaines totaled over 100 yards of offense and scored a rushing and receiving touchdown.  He has now scored in two of the Thundering Herd’s first three games.

Next 3 weeks:  UCLA, at Utah, OFF

Carey Angeline, NC State

If you are searching for an upgrade at tight end, Angeline may be a solid addition.  At 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds, Angeline is a big target and seems to be an important part of the NC State passing game.  In the past two games, he has eight receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

Next 3 weeks:  Ball State, at Florida State, OFF
