QUARTERBACKS

Justin McMillan, Tulane

Tulane quarterback Justin McMillan has accounted for at least three touchdowns in four of his last six games and has scored at least one rushing touchdown in all but one game this season.  The Green Wave do have a bye in Week 11, but they will need to score points in Weeks 12-14.

Next 3 weeks:  OFF, at Temple, Central Florida

RUNNING BACKS

Andrew Clair, Bowling Green

Bowling Green running back Andrew Clair was likely a forgotten man, as he made his first appearance since September 21.  Now healthy, Clair carried the ball 29 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s win over Akron.  Like the two players listed before him on this list, Clair does have a Week 11 bye, so he should only be considered if your roster needs a boost during the playoff weeks.

Next 3 weeks:  OFF, at Miami (OH), Ohio

Treyvon Hughes, UTEP

Picking up a player from a team with a 1-7 record can be risky, but there isn’t a lot available at running back on the waiver wire this week.  Hughes does not have a 100-yard rushing game against an FBS opponent this season, but he has scored at least one rushing touchdown in four consecutive games and has three multiple-TD games in 2019.

Next 3 weeks:  Charlotte, at UAB, at New Mexico State

RECEIVERS

Damon Hazelton, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech receiver Damon Hazleton caught a touchdown pass in Week 1, but suffered an injury and did not return until Week 6.  He has now scored in three consecutive games, and with the Hokies upcoming schedule, it seems likely he can extend that streak throughout the fantasy playoffs.

Next 3 weeks:  Wake Forest, at Georgia Tech, Pitt

Randal Grimes, UNLV

Since Kenyon Oblad has taken over at quarterback, the UNLV offense has taken on a different personality and Randal Grimes’ fantasy stock has risen.  Grimes has at least 75 receiving yards in three of his last four games and has caught a touchdown pass in four consecutive games.  The Rebels do have a bye in Week 11, but take a look at their schedule in Weeks 12-14.

Next 3 weeks:  Hawaii, San Jose State, at Nevada

Lucky Jackson, Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky receiver Lucky Jackson has been one of the more productive receivers in the FBS over the last three weeks.  Jackson has totaled 30 receptions during that stretch and has topped the 140-yard receiving mark in each of the last three games.  Unlike several players on this list, Jackson does not have a Week 11 bye, but he does in Week 12.

Next 3 weeks:  at Arkansas, OFF, at Southern Miss

C.J. Johnson, East Carolina

East Carolina’s inconsistencies on offense has kept us off of freshman receiver C.J. Johnson, but we cannot ignore him any longer.  In Saturday’s 46-43 loss to Cincinnati, Johnson caught 12 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown.  He has had at least eight receptions and 100 yards receiving in three of the Pirates’ last four games.

Next 3 weeks:  at SMU, OFF, at UConn

Romeo Doubs, Nevada

Nevada receiver Romeo Doubs was non-existent in the first five weeks of the 2019 season, but the last four games tell a different story.  Dobbs has topped the 80-yard mark in each of his last four games and twice has surpassed the 140-yard mark.

Next 3 weeks:  at San Diego State, OFF, at Fresno State

Bailey Gaither, San Jose State

San Jose State receiver Bailey Gaither has been overlooked by many fantasy owners because of teammate Tre Walker’s presence.  However, Gaither has topped the 100-yard mark twice in the last five games, topped the 70-yard mark four times during that stretch, and scored in every one of those games.

Next 3 weeks:  at Hawaii, OFF, at UNLV

Juwan Johnson, Oregon

We’re pretty sure that at some point during the 2019 season, many fantasy owners parted ways with Oregon receiver Juwan Johnson, who did not have a reception until the Ducks’ October 11 game against Colorado.  Johnson caught seven passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s win at USC, and he now has topped the 60-yard mark in back-to-back games.  Is Johnson quarterback Justin Herbert’s red zone replacement for injured tight end Jacob Breeland?

Next 3 weeks:  OFF, Arizona, at Arizona State
