theCFFsite 2020 Super Fantasy League Details Update
Due to the changes throughout college football this year, we have decided to simplify the format of our Super Fantasy League. Initially, we were expanding to four different formats (Classic Format-most points; (2) Tournament Formats; Eliminator Format) for the 2020 season, but inconsistent start dates for the participating conferences has resulted in shorter play period (Weeks 4-13). Therefore, we will not organize the two tournament style leagues, but will continue forward with the Classic and Eliminator formats. Following is a short list of rules and changes for the upcoming season.
LEAGUE DURATION: Both leagues will use Weeks 4-13 of the CFB schedule (Sep. 26-Nov. 8).
PLAYER POOL: All players from participating FBS schools will be eligible for selection.
PLAYER SELECTION: Each individual player can only be used in one weekly lineup the entire season.
WEEKLY ROSTER: Each owner must build a weekly roster using: 3-QB; 3-RB; 3-WT; 2-FX (RB/WR/TE). Last year, the roster build was (5-5-5-3). The same roster is used in both leagues (Classic & Eliminator).
SCORING: Scoring details can be found in the League Rules Summary, but the scoring is fairly standard (.5-PPR).
DEADLINES: Missing deadlines can lock rosters and keep owners from making changes. Changes can be made up until 1 minute before a player’s game begins, but you must also remember to clear already-used players so they do not lock into your lineup the following week. If your roster locks and cannot make changes, contact the commissioner using the league email.
LEAGUE FEES: $4 League Fee is optional (using the Fantrax Treasurer), but only those that opt-in are eligible for the prize pool. Again, anyone can participate for FREE.
LEAGUE PRIZES: The $4 optional League Fee will be split equally between the two following leagues: Classic-most points & Eliminator-last team remaining.
LEAGUE FORMATS:
Classic—Fantasy owners build a new roster every week (the same weekly roster build is used in both leagues) and their weekly scores are totaled from Weeks 4-13. Highest scoring team at the end of Week 13 wins. Prize money awarded to Top 3 owners that paid $4 League Fee.
Eliminator—Fantasy owners build a new roster every week (the same weekly roster build is used in both leagues) and a TBD-amount of teams are eliminated weekly until one team remains at the end of Week 13. The TBD-amount of teams will be announced once all entrants are registered. Prize money awarded to Top 3 owners that paid $4 League Fee.
