This is not even gamesmanship on the part of Lane Kiffin. He did this last year, and not even the Ole Miss coaching staff believes the injury report listing Leavitt as doubtful (now questionable) because they saw this from him firsthand. Just out of precaution, we’ll be focused pregame to ensure Leavitt is full-go, because the salary and 29-point projection – the most of any player in college fantasy football this week according to theCFFSite – is worth the spend up. Ole Miss is currently 130th in PFF coverage grades, having already allowed

Stacy Gage is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Caden Durham hasn’t run for a single yard all season on four attempts. And Harlem Berry has disappeared since LSU’s second fall scrimmage where he was the team’s MVP. Expect Jones and Leavitt (assuming healthy) to dominate the rushing workload.
↔Pivot Play – RB Dilin Jones ($7,300)
All of the focus will be on Sam Leavitt’s pregame status, and Jones will likely go underplayed because of his lackluster outing against Louisiana Tech last week. But we should remember at least the La Tech was the No. 1 defense in C-USA last season so it’s not a group without talent. And what I see is a RB in Jones that accounts for 43% of the team’s rushing attempts. He’ll get a full workload on Saturday.

Could play this any number of ways, including Leavitt solo, but probably want to have some exposure to the LSU pass-catchers with how poorly the Ole Miss secondary performed, specifically in the Louisville matchup. WR Winston Watkins ($5,700) is the only LSU receiver to score 20+ fantasy points this year while leading the team in routes run. The Ole Miss secondary allowed 83 yards and a score to another slot receiver in Tre Richardson in Week 1. The Rebels have also had troubles with explosives in the passing game, so WR Jackson Harris ($6,200) and his 28 YPC average could be a spot where he’ll have next to nothing in terms of ownership. TE Trey’Dez Green ($5,500) had a breakout performance against La Tech after a quiet Week 1 with 6-104-1 on nine targets and is always in play at such a reasonable pricing.

★Top Play(s) – QB Trinidad Chambliss ($6,900)
Maybe if we had a 25-point projection for an unproven quarterback at just $6.9k, we’d buy into the CFB DFS trap theory and avoid heavy ownership. Not the case with such an established commodity as Chambliss in this spot. severely underpriced. LSU has yet to allow 150 yard passing in a game yet this season, but tough to judge just how good that group is after facing Clemson (who essentially benched their QB already) and Louisiana Tech. Anticipate Chambliss being the highest owned player on the slate.
↓Fade – Syracuse Transfers.
Can’t trust WR Johntay Cook ($4,800) or WR Darrell Gill Jr. ($4,600) at this point as they’ve combined for all of 21 yards over two games. Gill deserves no consideration and probably should have stayed at Syracuse. Cook does have a touchdown to his name and is third amongst Ole Miss WRs in routes run, so he’ll at least have some role for Saturday.
↔Pivot Play – RB Kewan Lacy ($7,500)
Even in a game against Charlotte last week, when Lacy was expected to be limited to a certain extent, the star running back still ran for 87 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries which was a team high. With backup Makhi Frazier being less than 100 percent entering Saturday and Lacy being healthy, we expect a full dosage of carries. Lacy is playable solo or in a stack with Chambliss given the heavy rush load that duo held last season.
$Bargain Bin – WR Horatio Fields ($4,300)
The Wake Forest and Auburn transfer leads Ole Miss in routes run, and was the safety blanket a number of ocassions for Chambliss in the opener vs. Louisville, targeted seven times. With shallow WR depth, WR Caleb Cunningham ($3,400) saw extended action against Charlotte last week, catching six passes on eight targets, though he did not see any action vs. Louisville in the opener. Tough to gauge what his role would be in a completive matchup.
+Best of the Rest – WR Deuce Alexander ($5,800)
Chambliss’ top target who has been sensational in two games with 235 yards, two touchdowns, an 87% catch rate and 18.1 YPC average. Not much else you could want out of a fantasy receiver through two weeks. Top pairing option with Chambliss, and don’t mind playing all three Ole Miss studs in GPPs. The LSU secondary struggled to cover Louisiana Tech’s top receiver and Jalen Mickens who went for 100+.
