With the 2021 season winding down, here are a few notes and observations that standout to me heading into the final week of the CFF season.
Power 5
- Louisville QB Malik Cunningham has scored at least 2 rushing TDs in seven of ten games and has totaled 12 TDs in the last two weeks.
- Washington State WR Travell Harris has caught a TD pass in four of his last five games.
- Wake Forest WR AT Perry has topped the 100-yard mark in six of his last seven games.
- Texas WR Xavier Worthy has caught a TD pass in four straight games and in seven of ten games this year.
- Unfortunately, Iowa State RB Breece Hall had his worst fantasy game of the season on Saturday at Oklahoma (19-58-1 rushing; 3-17 receiving).
- Purdue QB Aidan O’Connell has thrown for at least 390 yards and 3 TDs in three consecutive games.
- Ohio State QB CJ Stroud has thrown at least 4 TD passes in a game six times this year.
- Virginia TE Keytaon Thompson has caught at least 9 passes in five of his last six games.
- Pitt QB Kenny Pickett has passed for at least 340 yards and 3 TDs in four consecutive games.
- Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen has rushed for 100 yards in seven consecutive games and has scored 3 TDs in the Badgers’ last two games.
- I whiffed on Arkansas WR Treylon Burks against Alabama (8-179-2).
- Alabama WR Jameson Williams has topped the 120-yard mark in four consecutive games and has caught 3 TD passes in each of his last two games.
- TCU QB Chandler Morris will not play again this year, which means he can use this season as a redshirt year.
- BYU WR Puka Nacua has caught a TD pass in four straight games.
- Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke has thrown at lest 3 TD passes in five straight games. WR Charleston Rambo has topped 100 yards in three of the last four games and has reached the 95-yard mark seven times. RB Jaylan Knighton has scored at least 1 TD in six straight games.
- Tennessee WR Cedrick Tillman has caught a TD pass in five straight games.
- Utah RB Tavion Thomas has scored at least 2 TDs in each of his last four games and 3 TDs in three consecutive games.
Group 5
- Toledo RB Bryant Koback is finishing the year strong, rushing for at least 2 TDs in his last three games. WR Matt Landers has caught aa TD pass in three straight games.
- Western Michigan RB Sean Tyler has scored TD in five straight games.
- Miami (OH) WR Jack Sorenson has topped 100 yards in six consecutive games going into next week’s regular season finale.
- Central Michigan RB Lew Nichols has rushed for at least 160 yards and 2 TDs in each of the Chippewas’ last four games.
- Northern Illinois RB Jay Ducker has scored 3 TDs in nine games this year, while teammate Clint Ratkovich has scored at least one TD in four straight games.
- Buffalo RB Dylan McDuffie has scored a TD in six straight games and in eight of ten games this year.
- Nevada TE Cole Turner has caught 2 TD passes in four of his last six games, while WR Romeo Doubs has caught at least one TD pass in his last six games played.
- Houston WR Nathaniel Dell has topped the 100-yard mark and caught a TD pass in three of the Cougars’ last four games.
- Tulane RB Tyjae Spears has rushed for 100 yards in three of the last four games and has scored a TD in five of the last six.
- Western Kentucky QB Bailey Zappe has thrown four or more TD passes in six of the Hilltoppers’ last seven games.
- UAB RB DeWayne McBride has rushed for 100 yards in three of the last four games and has totaled 10 TDs in the last five games.
- UTSA WR Zakhari Franklin has caught 2 TD passes in three of his last four games.
- Marshall RB Rasheen Ali has scored 2 TDs in seven of ten games this year.
- Liberty QB Malik Willis has accounted for 3 or more TDs in all but two games this season…the last two games.
- South Alabama WR Jalen Tolbert has caught at least 7 passes in five of his last six games.
- Boise State RB George Holani has rushed for 100 yards in three consecutive games.
