Ron Cook Jr. is the incumbent and presumed starter for now, averaging five yards a carry as the third option last season, but he is on the smaller side at just 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds. He’ll face major competition from a pair of redshirt freshmen in Mike Washington (6-2, 216) and Al-Jay Henderson (6-0, 197), who both showed out in the spring game with a combined 148 yards between them. This situation may play itself out in preseason camp, but until then, it might be wise to use multiple draft selections to corner the Buffalo running backs on draft day.
