New Mexico RB Scottre Humphrey (6-48-1) left Friday’s game against UCLA with an injury and did not return.
Memphis RB Sutton Smith excelled in the starting role against Troy, rushing for 113 yards and two TDs on 18 attempts. I’m not sure what to expect when Greg Desrosiers returns.
Troy RB Tae Meadows only had five rush attempts for seven yards against Memphis and did not get a touch after the eight-minute mark of the third quarter.
I expected more from Buffalo RB Al-Jay Henderson against Kent State, but he delivered 75 rush yards, a TD, and eight receptions despite being questionable on the pre-game injury report. WR Victor Snow has caught a TD pass in each of the Bulls’ first three games.
In Saturday’s win over New Hampshire, Ball State RB Qua Ashley totaled 187 scrimmage yards and scored three TDs. Considering that the Cardinals opened at Purdue and Auburn, there is optimism around Ashley’s MAC potential, but I still wouldn’t consider him a waiver priority.
Delaware had a nice win over UConn on Saturday, but some fantasy owners may have been burned by WR Jake Thaw not playing. Going into Week 3, Thaw was the Blue Hens’ top receiver with 11 receptions for 177 yards.
UConn WR Skyler Bell has topped 90 receiving yards in each of the Huskies’ first three games.
UTSA RB Robert Henry is off to one of the hottest starts in the country. He has rushed for at least 144 yards in three straight games and has scored at least two TDs in each of the Roadrunners’ first three games.
Toledo RB Chip Trayanum is ready for MACtion after scoring two TDs in back-to-back games.
FAU is throwing it around as expected, but QB Caden Veltkamp is hurting his owners with seven interceptions in three games.
FIU RB Kejon Owens may have real fantasy value. He has rushed for at least 70 yards in all three games and scored two TDs in two of them.
After a one-catch game against Ole Miss in Week 1, Georgia State WR Ted Hurst has hauled in 17 receptions for 269 yards over the last two weeks.
Georgia Southern RB OJ Arnold finally produced in the Eagles’ Week 3 win over Jacksonville State with 16-128-2. He feels like more of a spot starter than a weekly must-start.
We got reassurance from Jacksonville State RB Cam Cook after his 21-120-0 performance at Georgia Southern. The concern is that QB Gavin Wimsatt has three rushing TDs compared to Cook’s two.
Appalachian State RB Rashod Dubinion has at least 22 rush attempts in all three games this season. WR Jaden Barnes has caught at least six passes and a TD in each of the Mountaineers’ first three games.
After leading Old Dominion to a 45-26 win at Virginia Tech, QB Colton Joseph looks primed for a big 2025 season and has QB1 potential in CFF.
The regression at Coastal Carolina has been staggering. They have only scored two touchdowns in three games and none in the first half. They have scored a total of three points in the first half this season against UVA, Charleston Southern, and ECU.
We knew Navy QB Blake Horvath would be a fantasy factor in 2025, but both Horvath and RB Alex Tecza have scored a TD in each of the first three games. Tecza has 15 rush attempts in all three.
Tulsa RB Dominic Richardson is getting enough touches to be considered for a roster spot, but the Golden Hurricane schedule looks tough. Their next four weeks: at Oklahoma State, Tulane, at Memphis, Bye.
It’s time to consider Tulane QB Jake Retzlaff a legitimate option in 2-QB formats. He only has two passing TDs in three games, but his rushing totals are impressive (40-288-6). Unless you’re holding RB Maurice Turner, I wouldn’t roster another Tulane back. Everything goes through Retzlaff.
I’m not sure what happened to Air Force RB Dylan Carson, but he had eight rush attempts in the first half against Utah State and none in the second.
It’s time to compare Fresno State’s top two backs. Bryan Donelson has 50-325-2 rushing and 8-87-0 receiving. Rayshon Luke has 36-224-5 rushing and 12-80-1 receiving.
If you stream DST, here are some Week 4 options to consider:
- Virginia Tech v Wofford
- Louisville v Bowling Green
- Tennessee v UAB
- Florida State v Kent State
- Georgia Tech v Temple
- South Alabama v Coastal Carolina
- Washington at Washington State
- Cal at San Diego State
