Power 5
- North Carolina WR Antoine Green has at least 80 yards receiving and a TD in three straight games.
- Pitt WR Jared Wayne has caught a TD pass in three straight games and in four of the last five.
- Clemson RBs Will Shipley and Kobe Pace were unexpectedly held out against UConn.
- Penn State WR Jahan Dotson has caught at least 8 passes in six of the last seven games.
- Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen’s 25-173-3 game against Northwestern wasn’t much of a surprise after the announcement that Chez Mellusi was lost for the year.
- Alabama’s game against New Mexico State emphasizes my point about not sitting your studs against weaker competition. QB Bryce Young 5 TDs, RB Brian Robinson 126 yards & 2 TDs, WR Jameson Williams 158 yards & 3 TDs.
- I know Spencer Rattler made a relief appearance against Baylor, but Caleb Williams will likely remain the starter against Iowa State. The problem is that the Sooners’ final three games of the season are against the three toughest defenses in the Big XII.
- Utah RB Tavion Thomas was held out of the Utes’ matchup against Arizona out of precaution. Those of you in the Discord were alerted of this news in advance.
- Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke has thrown at least 3 TD passes in four consecutive games. TE Will Mallory has caught a TD pass in three of the last four games.
- In Saturday’s 41-30 win over Georgia Tech, Boston College WR Zay Flowers only had 2 receptions, but both went for TDs, the first time he has scored since the Eagles’ September 25 win over Missouri.
- The hope that many fantasy owners had in Virginia Tech RB Malachi Thomas being a difference maker at the end of the year may have ended after Saturday’s 10-yard outing against Duke.
- I wouldn’t be surprised if there were many fantasy owners that played it conservative with Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson this week and chose not to start him after last week’s absence. Leaving 10 catches for 126 yards and 3 TDs on your bench is a bitter pill to swallow. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has at least 97 receiving yards in each of his last five games.
- Tennessee WR Cedric Tillman has caught a TD pass in four straight games.
- In Missouri’s 31-28 win over South Carolina, RB Tyler Badie posted his fourth 200-yard rushing game of the season.
- Michigan State RB Kenneth Walker III now has six 140-yard rushing performances this year.
- Arizona State RB Rachaad White is catching fire at the right time, totaling 60 rushing attempts in the Sun Devils’ last two games for 386 yards and 5 TDs, while adding 88 receiving yards on seven receptions.
- Texas A&M RB Isaiah Spiller had his worst outing of the season against Ole Miss (41 rushing yards, 7 receiving yards, 0 TD).
- Ole Miss WR Dontario Drummond returned to action on Saturday and caught 6 passes for 49 yards and a TD in the Rebels’ 29-19 win over Texas A&M.
- Notre Dame WR Kevin Austin has caught a TD pass in three straight games, but he has not topped the 40-yard mark in three of the last four games.
- Wake Forest WR Jaquarii Roberson was reported missing from the sideline during the second half of Saturday’s game against NC State. Roberson only had one catch for 12 yards and now his availability for next week’s game at Clemson is in doubt.
- Arkansas WR Treylon Burks had his second-worst outing of the season Saturday night at LSU, catching 4 passes for 16 yards (3 rec. for 10 yards vs. UGA).
- LSU RB Tyrion Davis-Price has rushed for 100 yards in four of the Tigers’ last five games.
- After rushing for 100 yards in six of Texas’ first seven games, RB Bijan Robinson hasn’t topped the 90-yard mark in there consecutive games going into next week’s matchup at West Virginia. The projections aren’t bulletproof, but they certainly hit on WR Xavier Worthy this past week.
- Saturday’s performance against Oklahoma State was predictable, but give me some TCU QB Chandler Morris this week against Kansas.
Group 5
- Miami (OH) WR Jack Sorenson has topped 110 receiving yards in each of his last five games.
- Buffalo RB Kevin Marks returned to action, but only had 5 rushing attempts against Maimi (OH), while Dylan McDuffie had 20 carries for 91 yards. McDuffie has scored in five straight games and in eight of ten this year.
- Akron RB Jonzell Norrils has scored a rushing TD in three straight games.
- Western Michigan RB Sean Tyler has scored a rushing TD in four straight games.
- Ohio RB De’Montre Tuggle has scored a TD in six straight games.
- Ball State WR Justin Hall has scored 9 TDs (6 rushing, 3 receiving) in the last five games.
- NIU RB Jay Ducker has rushed for 100 yards in four straight games.
- Kent State WR Dante Cephas has at least 100 yards receiving in five of his last seven games. RB Marquez Cooper has scored a rushing TD in five of his last six games with three multiple-TD games.
- Central Michigan RB Lew Nichols has rushed for at least 160 yards and 2 TDs in three straight games.
- Boise State RB George Holani has rushed for 100 yards in back-to-back games, but he has not scored a TD since September 10, when the Broncos hosted UTEP.
- It was a disappointing day for Houston WR Nathaniel Dell’s fantasy owners, as his hot run came to an end with a 2-catch, 26-yard game against Temple.
- After catching 7 TD passes in the first four games of the year, Memphis WR Calvin Austin has gone four straight games without catching a TD pass.
- Louisiana Tech RB Marcus Williams has scored a rushing TD in three straight games. WR Smoke Harris has caught at least 7 passes in four straight games.
- UAB RB DeWayne McBride has scored at least 2 TDs in three straight games.
- Marshall RB Rasheen Ali had his worst performance of the season against UAB (65 total yards, 0 TD), failing to score a TD for only the second time.
- In Saturday’s win over FAU, Old Dominion RB Blake Watson posted his fifth consecutive 100-yard rushing game.
- Hawaii RB/WR Calvin Turner had his worst game of the season at UNLV (2 rush, -13 yards; 3 rec. 31 yards).
- UNLV RB Charles Williams has scored in five straight games and has 10 TDs during that stretch.
- UTEP WR Jacob Cowing has topped the 100-yard mark in seven of ten games this year and caught a TD pass in Saturday’s loss at North Texas, his first TD since September 25.
- WR Malik Jackson got the call at RB for LA Monroe against Arkansas State and carried the ball 22 times for 166 yards and 2 TDs. I am not sure what happened to Andrew Henry and whether or not he will return for the November 20 matchup at LSU.
