Power 5
- Things do not look promising for Cal RB Jaydn Ott’s fantasy appeal down the stretch.
- Who would have predicted for Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson to have his worst fantasy outing of the season at UCLA?
- Minnesota RB Darius Taylor had his worst fantasy outing of the season in the Gophers’ 26-19 loss at Rutgers (10-28-1 rushing; -3 receiving yards.
- Boston College QB Thomas Castellanos was benched for Grayson James in the Eagles’ 37-31 win against Syracuse. RB Kye Robichaux has scored a rushing TD in three straight games.
- In Saturday’s loss at Boston College, TE Oronde Gadsden caught his first TD pass since Week 2.
- Texas had an easy time with Florida, but it was noteworthy that RBs Jaydon Blue and Tre Wisner combined for just nine rush attempts.
- In Saturday’s win over Purdue, Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson scored his first TD since the Buckeyes’ Week 3 win over Marshall. Freshman WR Jeremiah Smith has now caught a TD pass in eight of nine games this season.
- Oregon State WR Trent Walker has caught seven or more passes in six of nine games this season.
- After totaling just 7 receptions for 113 yards and no TDs in Weeks 5-7, Duke WR Jordan Moore has caught a TD pass in three consecutive games, totaling 11 receptions for 179 yards. RB Star Thomas posted three consecutive 100-yard rushing games in Weeks 3-5, but in the five games since he has averaged only 52.4 rushing yards per game.
- After rushing for 100 yards or more in three consecutive games from Weeks 3-5, Michigan RB Kalel Mullings has failed to post at least 50 rushing yards in four of his last five games.
- With Ole Miss RB Henry Parrish out for the year, Ulysses Bentley likely becomes a desirable waiver add for Weeks 13 and 14. After a bye week, the Rebels play Florida and Mississippi State.
- South Carolina RB Reheim Sanders has scored a TD in four consecutive games and has totaled 5 TDs in the last two games. The Gamecocks have a Week 12 matchup against Missouri and host Wofford in Week 13.
- UCF RB RJ Harvey has scored a TD in nine of ten games this year and has scored 2 or more TDs seven times.
- Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson has caught a TD pass in four of the Sun Devils’ last five games.
- Mississippi State RB Davon Booth has scored a TD in eight of ten games this season and has totaled at least 90 scrimmage yards in each of the bulldogs’ last four games.
- Missouri WR Luther Burden has not caught a TD pass in five consecutive games.
- Pitt QB Eli Holstein has only accounted for 2 TDs in the last four games and could possibly miss the next game against Clemson after suffering a concussion. After a 7-0 start, the Panthers could possibly lose their last 5 games. Given the offensive regresssion, matchups against Clemson, Louisville, and Boston College feel dicey, especially for owners of RB Desmond Reid.
- Penn State RB Kaytron Allen has scored a rushing TD in five of the Nittany Lions’ last six games, but more importantly looks like the current RB1 over Nicholas Singleton, whose role seems to be more of a hybrid back. Only adding to Singleton’s lack of fantasy appeal is the utilization of TE Tyler Warren in the run game.
Group 5
- Fantasy owners of New Mexico QB Devon Dampier and San Diego State RB Marquez Cooper had to be disappointed that the game did not come close to the Vegas projected total of 66.5.
- Miami, Ohio WR Javon Tracy has caught a TD pas in five of the last six games, while teammate Reggie Virgil has caught a TD pass in four consecutive games.
- Western Michigan RB Jaden Nixon has scored a TD in six of the last seven games and has scored two or more TDs four times during that stretch.
- Kent State WR Chrishon McCray has totaled just 9 receptions and 72 receiving yards in the last three games.
- Appalachian State RB Ahmani Marshall has rushed for 100-plus yards in three consecutive games.
- Coastal Carolina RB Braydon Bennett has rushed for a TD in six of seven games this year and has three multiple-TD games.
- Memphis RB Mario Anderson has carried the ball at least 22 times in three of the Tigers’ last four games.
- Texas State only attempted 14 passes in Saturday’s win at LA Monroe, with backup QB Brad Jackson completing 4-of-9 passes for 16 yards, but rushing for 106 yards and a TD. Now, a dinged up Jordan McCloud becomes a questionable play next week against Southern Miss.
- San Jose State WR Nick Nash has caught a TD pass in all nine games this season. He lets the FBS in receptions (86), receiving yards (1,156), and receiving TDs (13).
- After missing Army’s Week 10 matchup against Air Force, QB Bryson Daily returned for the Black Knights’ Week 11 matchup at North Texas and carried the ball a season-high 36 times for 153 yards and 2 TDs. Aside from Daily, the matchup disappointed due to the expected fantasy value given the game’s projected 67.5 Vegas total.
- There is both good news and bad news for fantasy owners of Virginia Tech RB Bhayshul Tuten. The good news: Tuten has a bye to rest and get healthy. The bad news: Tuten has a bye and may not be of service to you if your fantasy squad fails to reach your league semifinals.
- Tulane RB Makhi Hughes has scored a TD in all ten games this season and has scored at least 2 TDs in five of his last six games.
- Jacksonville State RB Tre Stewart has scored 2 or more TDs in five of his last six games.
- Western Kentucky QB Caden Veltkamp has accounted for at least 3 TDs in all six games against G5 opponents.
- New Mexico State RB Mike Washington has scored at least one TD in four of the Aggies’ last five games.
- Nevada WR Jaden Smith has caught a TD pass in four of his last six games.
- After catching at least 8 passes in four of Hawaii’s first five games, WR Pofele Ashlock has not caught more than three passes in any of the last four games.
- Fantasy owners of Utah State RB Rahsul Faison may need to nab Herschel Turner off the waiver wire if in need of another running back in Week 12. Faison has to be dinged up, as he had only two rush attempts against Washington State Saturday night.
If you stream DST, here are some Week 12 options to consider:
- Miami (OH) v Kent St.
- Houston @ Arizona
- Auburn v LA Monroe
- Kentucky v Murray St.
- Texas St. v Southern Miss
- UNLV v San Diego St.
