Week 13 Notes & Observations

Through the emails I’ve received over the past couple of weeks, I know that the vast majority of 2020 CFF leagues have already ended or will be doing so following Week 14.  Still, there are some conference-specific leagues that may be ongoing, so we will be helping you guys by providing rankings and/or projections in the coming weeks.

To close out the year, I want to thank every subscriber and follower for your continued support of theCFFsite in 2020, a year unlike any other we’ve had in the past.  Covid-19.  A delayed start to the season.  Different conferences starting at different times.   Some conferences deciding to opt in after they had already opted out.  Players opting out.  The 4-week Fantrax debacle.  Numerous game cancellations and postponements within days, and in some cases hours, of kickoff.  Still, many of you, like myself, found comfort participating in CFF this year, despite the speed bumps along the way, because at times it distracted us from the bullshit 2020 has served up.  Usually, as the college football regular season nears its end, I start looking forward to bowl season with excitement, knowing some of us hit the restart button and participate in CFF Bowl Season Leagues.  Whether or not that happens this season is still to be determined, but completing another CFF season has never been more satisfying.  Since spring, I always believed there would be a 2020 CFB season in some form or fashion, so we did not scale back any of our preseason or in-season content.  We did pump the brakes on some new ideas, but we’ll look to introduce those features next year.  If we do anything for bowl season, you will know by frequenting the theCFFsite homepage or following us on Twitter in the coming weeks.

If you have access to my exclusive email and want to discuss keepers for 2021 or anything related to CFF, feel free to reach out.

If we do not connect again this year, enjoy the holiday season and stay safe.

Until next time.
