Week 4 Waiver Wire (Preview)

John Alan Richter

Toledo

Third straight game that JAR scored 29 or more fantasy points in the blowout win over San Diego State. In terms of national standing, Richter now ranks 15th in passing yards, 14th in passer rating and tied for fifth with 12 passing touchdowns to only one interception. Toledo’s WR room also looks to be a strength this year with several options beyond just Adjatay Dabbs, boosting Richter’s stock.

Malachi Singleton

Appalachian State

Known as more of a runner coming into the year, Singleton’s passing abilities continue to impress, completing over 71% of his throws with seven touchdowns to just one interception. Against NC State, Singleton tossed 317 yards and three total touchdowns while racking up 31 fantasy points in the process. We still believe there’s more to come in Sun Belt play when App State likely uses Singleton more on the ground.

Lee Beebe

Indiana

The initial report from ESPN is that Turbo Richard’s foot injury is not expected to keep him out long-term. Does that mean this week or multiple weeks? Beebe should be a priority add streaming option with the backfield uncertainty after exploding for 203 yards and a touchdown in the win over Northwestern, now with three rushing TDs in the last two weeks. If Richard is out this week, expect to see Beebe among the top 10 running backs in Joe’s ranking with a premier matchup against a Rutgers defense that’s allowing over five yards a carry.

Joseph Williams

Colorado

331 receiving yards and four touchdowns for Williams in the last three games and might be the last man standing in the Colorado WR room. Danny Scudero remains out and DeAndre Moore suffered an injury against Baylor. That led to Williams getting all the volume on Saturday, finishing with 11 receptions and a touchdown on 15 targets.

DeAree Rogers

Northern Illinois

Rogers continues to be Taron Dickens’ favorite target with a season-best 107 yards and a touchdown on 13 targets in the loss to Georgia State. That’s now three straight games in which Rogers has been targeted 11 or more times and is a must-add in full-point PPR formats. NIU is on bye, though, this week.

Chris Marshall

Arkansas

We’ll give one last mention to Chris Marshall after torching the Tulsa secondary for 195 yards and a touchdown. Marshall’s 481 receiving yards account for 44% of the team’s total receiving production, with no other Arkansas pass-catcher having more than 100 yards. While the Razorbacks figure to be in plenty of trailing game scripts, the upcoming schedule also isn’t overly daunting with Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Missouri in three of the next four.

Luke Dehnicke

Northwestern

Breakout performance for Dehnicke against Indiana after two subpar weeks to begin the year, finishing with 140 receiving yards and a 100% catch rate on seven targets. Folks were high on Dehnicke coming into the year transferring over from Minnesota Duluth College where he had over 1,100 receiving yards last season. We know Chip Kelly can utilize the tight end position from his days with UCLA and Oregon.
