If you’re reading this today, I want to extend my hearty congratulations for making it to your College Fantasy Football final. It takes a lot of time, effort, and a bit of luck sometimes to make it to this point, but all worth it when you get there.

A ‘thank you’ again to everyone that has subscribed this year and followed along on this journey with theCFFsite! Short and sweet for the final Waiver Wire report of the year.

Quarterbacks:

Garrett Greene, West Virginia – 20 or more fantasy points for Greene in each of the last seven games, facing a Baylor defense that has mailed it in for the year. The Bears are allowing the 16th most fantasy points in the country to quarterbacks.

Gunnar Watson, Troy – Only danger here is that Troy could simply run 70% of the time against Southern Miss and probably still win the game comfortably. That said, the Golden Eagles are also giving up the 25th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, and Watson has now scored 25 or more fantasy points in the last four weeks.

Running Backs:

Ta’Ron Keith, Bowling Green – The Falcons’ running game hasn’t missed a beat with Keith filling in for the injured Terion Stewart with a combined 68 fantasy points scored in the last two games. A favorable matchup to close out the year against a Western Michigan defense gives up the 23rd most fantasy points in the country to running backs.

LJ Johnson, SMU – Back-to-back 100-yard performances for the former Texas A&M transfer, rushing for 115 yards and a score against Memphis. More importantly, that’s now consecutive games with at least 20 carries as he’s taken over the backfield from Jaylan Knighton.

Rueben Owens, Texas A&M – We’ll dig into this one over the course of the week to see what the Aggie insiders are saying on the A&M running back situation. Was the 18 carries from Owens just a one-off performance against an FCS opponent, or should we expect the same against LSU next week?

Aidan Robbins, BYU – This was the Aidan Robbins some people expected coming into the season, rushing for 181 yards on 22 carries against a good Oklahoma front. The Oklahoma State run defense, Robbins’ next opponent, is average across the board.

Mark Fletcher, Miami – 17 of Miami’s 24 rushing attempts went to the true freshman on Saturday, who rushed for 124 yards and two scores against a very good Louisville defense. Florida State’s run defense has been leaky all season, and we’ll see how motivated or deflated the Seminoles will be next week now that they lost their captain to a season-ending injury.

Tyrone Tracy, Purdue – Seems like the transition to running back was the correct move for Tracy as he’s now surpassed 100 rushing yards in each of the last two games, averaging nine yards a carry in that span. The Indiana defense shouldn’t pose much of a threat to Tracy racking up some fantasy points.

Jaheim White, West Virginia – Same reasons as stated above for Garrett Greene. But for White, we’ll have to monitor CJ Donaldson’s status this week as he was clearly not healthy with just five rushing attempts. 300+ total yards of offense for the true freshman on Saturday.

Justin Marshall, Colorado State – Two straight weeks now the true freshman has impressed, rushing for a combined 217 yards against San Diego State and Nevada. Best matchup yet for Marshall, facing a Hawaii defense in the finale that is allowing the 7th most fantasy points in the country to running backs. Marshall also has RB/WR designation on Fantrax.

TJ Harden, UCLA – Looks like another turn in the UCLA backfield with Harden being the preferred option over Carson Steele, rushing for 142 yards and a TD on 22 attempts. A tremendous matchup to close out the year against a Cal defense allowing the 24th most fantasy points to running backs.

Kendall Milton, Georgia – Are we starting to see Milton take back the RB1 mantle over Daijun Edwards? Sure seems like it the last two weeks. Should close out the year on a high note vs. a terrible run defense in in-state rival Georgia Tech.

Reggie Love III, Illinois – Not the easiest of matchups against a decent Northwestern defense this weekend but did just fine against Iowa on Saturday with 72 yards and a score. Love gets a boost with the news that freshman Kaden Feagin will miss the remainder of the year due to injury. Love should see all of the Illinois rushing attempts next week.

Wide Receivers:

Devaughn Vele, Utah – Lost in the blowout by Arizona was the performance of Vele who hit 100 yards receiving for the second time in as many games, now with 30 targets over the last three weeks. A perfect matchup to end the season against a Colorado defense allowing the most fantasy points in the country to wide receivers.

Kamdyn Benjamin, Tulsa – Eight receptions in each of the last two games for Benjamin with a combined 29 targets and three touchdowns in that span. Not the easiest of matchups this week against a really good G5 defense in East Carolina, but we love the volume spike in the last two weeks.

Tight Ends:

Dalvin Smith, Western Kentucky – Better late than never, I suppose, except Dalvin Smith likely isn’t on any redraft rosters still. 7-125-1 against Sam Houston State on Saturday and has a juicy matchup with a terrible Florida International defense to close out the year. Smith has been targeted at least six times in each of the last four games. I’d only consider starting him at TE, not receiver.
