Snatch ’Em Up Now
If they weren’t already drafted in your league, these guys will be hot commodities on the wire this week.

QB
Quarterbacks
N/A
No must-add quarterbacks on the waiver wire this week like we’ve seen recently with Jackson Gutierrez and Evan Medders, but there’s no shortage of lower-tier options capable of filling in as short-term streamers over the next week or two.

RB
Running Backs

Arizona State logo
Cardae Mack
Arizona State
Kyson Brown had been trending in the wrong direction for nearly a month, making it only a matter of time before the coaching staff turned to the four-star freshman. That decision paid immediate dividends, with Mack erupting for 159 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries in the win over Kansas State. Another subtle but significant development working in Mack’s favor is Kenny Dillingham handing play-calling duties to Marcus Arroyo a few weeks ago. Historically, Arroyo has shown a strong preference for feeding his RB1. We’re hesitant to start Mack on the road at BYU this week, but he should be a viable fantasy option in each of the three games that follow.

Colorado State logo
Durell Robinson
Colorado State
We were tuned in to see the rushing split between Robinson and Mel Brown this week with both players healthy. The staff seems to have settled on Robinson who out-carried Brown 19-5 while rushing for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That’s now eight rushing scores in his last five games.

Connecticut logo
Cyncir Bowers
Connecticut
The West Virginia transfer has now found the endzone in each of his last five games, with two 100-yard rushing performances in the last three weeks, yet just 21% owned on Fantrax. The lone concern with Bowers is the number of mouths to feed in the UConn backfield with Kenji Christian and Trey Cornist now healthy, and Kalieb Osborne seeing 8-10 rushing attempts per week. Never a bad thing having the RB1 on the 29th ranked scoring offense in the country, though.

Southern Miss logo
Steven Robinson
Southern Miss
44 combined rushing attempts and four touchdowns in the last two games for Robinson after rushing for 142 yards and three scores against Louisiana. Robinson is also giving us production in the passing game with 11 catches over the last three games. Strong matchup next Saturday against a Louisiana-Monroe defense that is giving up 34 FPPG to opposing backfields and rank 13 of 14 teams in the Sun Belt in yards allowed on the ground.

Syracuse logo
Ahmad Miller
Syracuse
If it wasn’t clear last week, it is now that Ahmad Miller is the clear RB1 for the Cuse after rushing for 130 yards on 33 attempts vs. North Carolina. Miller has scored four touchdowns in the last three games. The next two weeks could be tough sledding against SMU and Clemson, both of which rank in the top half of the ACC in run defense.

WR
Wide Receivers

Arizona logo
Isaiah Mizell
Arizona
Arizona was again without Gio Richardson and Chris Hunter, but we’re not sure they’ll impact Mizell if / when they do return from injury. Mizzell went for 100+ for the second straight game against Iowa State, including a 71-yard TD on the first pass play of the game. We want the WR1 for a team that is quarterbacked by Noah Fifita this season.

TE
Tight Ends

Missouri State logo
Connor Lair
Missouri State
I already apologized to theCFFSite discord for this oversight last week as Lair should have been included on the WW report and have been made a priority with dual eligibility as a RB/TE. Lair has taken over the team’s starting running back role away from Ramone Green and has carried the rock 29 times over the last two games, along with six receptions in that span.

Worth A Look
A preview of another player featured in the complete Week 8 Waiver Wire.
RB
Running Backs

Boston College logo
Bo MacCormack
Boston College
This is what Evan Dickens’ drafters expected from the Boston College RB1. With Dickens out for the season, MacCormack stepped in to rush for 155 yards and three touchdowns against Georgia Tech. What we said above with McKenzie applies here to MacCormack, though. Would you feel comfortable starting him against Notre Dame in three weeks or Miami in the finale?

Longshots
One deeper waiver-wire option from the complete Week 8 report.
RB
Running Backs

Mississippi logo
Makhi Frazier
Mississippi
Speculative add with Frazier as Lacy had to be carted off against Texas on Saturday night, injuring the same shoulder he’s been dealing with for much of the year. Initial impression is that we doubt Lacy plays next week against Auburn, so Frazier would be in line to start. Auburn ranked 14th in the SEC in yards allowed on the ground.
